PUNCTURE REPAIRS

If a tyre is punctured, it does not always have to be replaced. If it can be repaired, the tyre is repaired to the British Standard using a combination patch, the tyre is repaired from the inside, patching and plugging the hole at the same time. Tyres with damage to the sidewall or very close to the sidewall should be replaced as it is not safe to repair these. Also tyres that have been driven on flat after they have been punctured need to be checked carefully to see if there is any damage, if there is then the tyre will need to be replaced.
